Novas fogueiras contra as mulheres
Segue a carta de uma companheira teóloga, negra e muito,
muito corajosa. No entanto, por seu trabalho ela foi acusada
de bruxaria, entrou na justiça e ganhou, mas mesmo assim
ainda a estão pressionando para que peça desculpas às
autoridades religiosas de sua Igreja Metodista para que, eles
cumpram a determinação judicial de reitegração dela à sua
função pastoral. Ela solicita apoio de tod@s que defendam a
liberdade e autonomia das pessoas.

Amigas e Amigos, companheiras, companheiros...
Escrevo para denunciar e pedir ajuda. No ano de 2001 fui afastada de minhas funções pastorais pela acusação do bispo Adolfo Evaristo de Souza da igreja Metodista por ser "bruxa e incompetente". Segundo ele existiam denuncias que eu praticava bruxaria dentro da Comunidade Metodista do Povo de Rua com as mulheres que ali se abrigam.
A "bruxaria por mim cometida foi falar sobre a inquisição para as mulheres e dizer que somos nós mulheres sábias, fazendo um trabalho de resgate de auto-estima".
Para ele meu grande pecado é ser feminista e não falar somente de Jesus e salvação pra as mulheres.
Sendo assim fui afastada e como a Igreja Metodista não me atendeu em minhas petições de justiça na Igreja, fui à justiça civil e no ultimo mês de abril, ganhei a causa por Danos Morais.
Estou afasta desde 2001 e agora que ganhei na justiça, a Igreja mais uma vez se recusa a reintegrar-me ao ministério pastoral e pagar a indenização porque o Bispo Adolfo não aceita a decisão judicial.
Para ele eu devo ser disciplinada internamente e assim que houver um quebrantamento da minha parte, ou seja, pedir desculpas por ter processado a Igreja terei de volta minhas funções pastorais.
Sendo assim, estou todo este tempo sem salário, criando uma filha nas piores condições financeiras e emocionais, tudo me foi tirado.
Por isso, clamo por justiça, pela solidariedade dos grupos de mulheres, movimento negro, pois estou sendo coagida como no tempo da Inquisição confessar que sou herege, uma bruxa para mostrar aos outros pastores e pastoras que não se deve enfrentar a Igreja Metodista.
Estou sendo punida por militar no movimento de mulheres, estou sendo punida por ser feminista, estou sendo punida por ser mulher como dizem os bispos de uma personalidade difícil.
Peço que enviem e-mails aos bispos João Alves de Oliveira, bispo presidente e ao bispo Adriel de Souza maia, bispo da terceira região, São Paulo.
Peço que vocês me ajudem a enfrentar esta batalha, pois todo mundo sabe o que aconteceu as bruxas que confessaram seus pecados à Inquisição.
Quero continuar lutando pelos direitos das mulheres, quero continuar acreditando que é possível mudar o estado das coisas e quero que a minha filha nunca tenha medo de ser mulher e que sempre ande com a cabeça erguida por ser mulher e negra.

Tomamos conhecimento da acusação contra a Pastora e
Teóloga Eliad Dias, sob suspeição de prática de bruxaria por
seu trabalho de educação popular com grupos de mulheres, com
o objetivo de resgatar a auto-estima das mesmas.
Como deve ser do conhecimento dos senhores a violência
contra as mulheres é um fato gravíssimo na nossa sociedade [a
cada 15 segundos uma mulher sofre algum tipo de violência no
Brasil: ofensas, assédio moral e sexual, física, etc]; ações
de sensibilização e recuperação da auto-estima das mulheres é
uma prática muito comum e necessária, assim como utilizar
recursos metodológicos que recuperem fatos e atitudes de
violência contra as mulheres através da história, como
conteúdo de reflexão.
A Pastora Eliad Dias, com seu trabalho, tem contribuído
para eliminar a desigualdade e a violência que ainda existem
em nossa sociedade, como as descritas acimas. Por isso não
compreendemos as atitudes de uma entidade tão comprometidas
na luta pela justiça, em prejudicar o trabalho tão seriamente
desenvolvido pela Pastora Eliad.
Assim sendo vimos por meio desta, solicitar que se faça
justiça a Eliad, reconhecendo o valor do seu trabalho
reintegrando-a às suas funções pastorais e o imediato
cumprimento às determinações judiciais homologadas à partir
do processo judicial favorável à pastora.
Sem mais para o momento, contamos com seu senso de
justiça e respeito.
